Welcome to EnKounters, a professional networking platform developed and operated by EnKounters Inc., a Delaware Corporation ("EnKounters," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the EnKounters mobile application ("App") or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EnKounters Inc.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the EnKounters Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. EnKounters does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
EnKounters is an anonymous-first professional networking platform designed to connect college students, recent graduates, alumni, mentors, and professionals. Key features include:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any features or aspects of the Platform at any time, with or without notice.
To access most features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide truthful information during registration, including your institutional affiliation (e.g., university or employer).
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify EnKounters immediately at support@enkounters.com if you suspect unauthorized access to or use of your account.
Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension.

EnKounters is a professional networking platform. Users are expected to engage with others in a professional and respectful manner consistent with workplace communication standards.
All content on the Platform that is created by EnKounters, including but not limited to the logo, trademarks, design elements, software, and documentation, is the exclusive property of EnKounters Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant EnKounters a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the Platform may be used by EnKounters without any obligation to compensate you.
Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, or services. EnKounters does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your interaction with any third-party service is governed by that service's terms and privacy policy.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ENKOUNTERS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
EnKounters does not guarantee any specific outcomes from use of the Platform, including career opportunities, mentorship relationships, or professional introductions.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ENKOUNTERS INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ENKOUNTERS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
EnKounters' total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or (b) the amount you paid to EnKounters in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EnKounters Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
EnKounters reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in the App or by contacting us at support@enkounters.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be subject to informal resolution. You agree to contact EnKounters at legal@enkounters.com and provide a written description of the dispute before initiating formal proceedings.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Fairfax County, Delaware, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST ENKOUNTERS.
EnKounters reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the Effective Date. Your continued use of the Platform after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
